I have made these w/ my son and nephews well-nigh every Halloween and they are always a hit! I apply melted chocolate or frosting in place of the honey, and usually orange decorating icing/gel instead of the black. This is definitely fun for kids, and the adults likewise! :)
So piece of cake! Used them as a cupcake topper and they were a hit! Thank you
These turn out then cute and they are incredibly easy to make. I've made them a few times and they are e'er a striking. What kid (or adult) doesn't like a fudge cookie and a Hershey'southward buss?? I exercise skip the honey office of the recipe, instead using the pipe gel (orange looks neat against the cookie and the kiss) to connect the kiss with the cookie. If some of it squishes out under the base of the kiss, it looks like a ribbon around the 'chapeau'. Just let them sit for an hour or and then to dry out and they are set up!
Just made these today and hubby helped... They were super easy to make merely I institute the decorating a bit difficult... Maybe side by side time I'll candy decorations to adorn the hats ...
Super fun and very easy! My five year quondam fabricated these with some minimal instruction. These would be a fun treat to make as a class projection.
Really cute thought although I'k thinking a fiddling frosting would piece of work amend than the dear. Honey was kind of drizzled over everything afterwards a few of these were taken off the plate. Used dark choc fudge stripe cookies and dark choc kisses. Flavor is average b/c afterall, this is just a fudge strip cookie with a kiss on meridian :)
Cute and simple, my girl and daughter in-law thought it was a clever idea. I put them in lunch boxes for a cute seasonal care for. I did not apply beloved just frosting and I opted for orange frosting.
Such a unproblematic and cute idea. You would think it would be easy to decorate wouldn't you? Well, unless you are talented similar Andy Warhol, you might find the decorating a little more than challenging than you would think at outset. I know I did. The decorations on my hats looked like the witch had been flying in the air current at a loftier rate of speed. The hats really had the "wind blown" look. But I nevertheless adored them. Made them for my 3 picayune nephews (ages 8, 6, and iv). They loved them. I will brand them once more, keeping in mind that decorating takes a scrap more attempt and time than it looks similar it would. I used the beloved to secure the signal of the lid. It doesn't take only merely a dab. I put the honey on i chocolate kiss and pressed another chocolate kiss confronting the commencement one, rubbed them together. This made "glue" application very easy and fast. No "glue" squished out at the bottom when practical to the hat. As far equally the sense of taste, nothing infrequent. But afterwards all, this is not Gourmet Cookie Making 101. It is just shortbread cookies dipped in fudge with a chocolate buss on the pinnacle. Worth the effort for a special holiday care for for your loved ones.
Very like shooting fish in a barrel and fun for the kids to assist. We used a couple different items to 'glue' the kisses to the cookies instead of beloved: melted chocolate was kinda messy but worked; nutella added a yummy flavor twist; peanut butter went really well with all the chocolate but harder to comprehend up with the decorating gell.
Cute idea but the gel isn't as easy every bit one would think. Still tasty though!
I'm non the about crafty person but I do try. The gel was too soft, so it made it hard to make the ribbons. They're ok. I like the picture here much amend than how mine look, but since so many others gave it not bad reviews maybe I merely need to play w different kinds of frosting fabric for the ribbon. :/ disappointed
We made the at schoolhouse a few years ago for a Halloween party they were crawly
So cute, easy and perfect for the occasion
Easy and fast! Just what I demand for my childs Halloween trip the light fantastic!!
Pretty average taste just fun, cheap, and easy for Halloween
These were fun and easy for my 4 year erstwhile and 9 year former to get together and decorate lone. The band wasn't as picture perfect but they were still a hitting.
They were slap-up. Very easy to make.
I fabricated these for my granddaughters with mixed success. They get v stars for the concept, simply only 3 for execution, the primary trouble being that the gel is very difficult to control and looks very messy. I used night chocolate Fudge Stripe cookies, for uniformity in color. Instead of using dearest, I melted a few kisses in a small bowl and dipped the bottoms of the kisses for the hats into it before sticking them on the cookies. That worked well and was less messy and more than secure than I think the love would have been. If I were to brand these once more, I call up I'd make a pocket-sized amount of buttercream icing and tint it yellow for the trim.
Was fun to make - couldn't find yellow or white piping, and then used red - fabricated the lid await eerie. Friends enjoyed information technology - great for chocolate lovers!
The honey did not hold the kisses in place. The kisses slipped effectually while trying to add the colored frosted rim. Finally gave up. Cute idea but too hard to complete.
Really fun and easy! I substituted chocolate PB2 mixed up a little thicker than I would unremarkably for peanut butter to attach the Kisses to the cookies - which I think also added some season. If yous've never tried PB2, I highly recommend information technology!
Fabricated these with my preschool nieces at Halloween; they loved it.
Very fun look and very tasty. I found decorating the bands more difficult than I thought, merely overall worth information technology.
These were succulent and light. We added 2 tsp. vanilla. We likewise experimented with adding dried cranberries to some of the batter. It tasted good, if you like cranberries. My hubby graced his cookie with a dollop of whipped cream. The possibilities are never catastrophe. Thanks for sharing.
These were fun and really easy to practice. I cheated and used some melted chocolate to attach the kisses. Not a fan of beloved. First time always using gel and it wasn't the greatest but didn't plough out well-nigh as bad as I thought it would. Will demand LOTS of practice to brand the bow. I actually enjoyed making these.
Dainty idea only disappointing in real life.
I made these for the 'grown-ups' at piece of work - they loved them! I used yellow decorative icing and put it on the very edge of the buss when I flattened them on the cookie they not only stuck, only fabricated a lovely ring around the kiss.
It was a great treat for my Halloween party, and was requested at some other Halloween party! Great recipe!
I USUALLY Exercise NOT MAKE THESE CUTSIE Type OF BAKING THINGS BUT I DECIDED TO TRY It. THEY CAME OUT Actually WELL AND SO VERY Like shooting fish in a barrel TO Practise. I USED ORANGE FOR TRIM Effectually THE KISSES AND PUT A DOLLOP OF Orange ON THE TIPPY Pinnacle. I AM BRINGING THEM TO A GROWN Upward PARTY AND I KNOW THEY WILL Be APPRECIATED.
I'm giving this 4 stars based on this....5 stars for ease and visual outcome of this recipe but only 3 stars for taste...hence a four star rating. Information technology'due south still a store bought cookie and tastes that way and then if your looking for a quick easy fun cookie to make with the little ones as helpers this is a great option only if your looking for something YUMMY GOOD to print the adults this is non the go to recipe.
Super easy to make, and so cute! I fastened the Hershey'southward kiss with frosting and made orangish "ribbon" around the hat in true Halloween spirit. They're going to be a hit at my work potluck! My one recommendation is to not exit the cookies unattended while making these. I had to toss a packet when my lab decided to lick all the rows considering she dubbed herself "quality control."
My son and coworkers loved them.. so I guess they were slap-up..
Very easy to make and delisous! They look exactly like withces hats besides! Very cute and kids vove them!
Very fun easy care for to make. My 4 and 6 year old great granddaughters helped make them to share at their schools.
Tons of fun! I made them with my friend and they turned out great! I would for certain make them again! (:
Didn't take any decorater icing. Used peanut butter and Halloween decorating pieces. Also used a tiny bit of honey to stick the kiss on and then refrigerated for a few hours. They stuck together great!
Too cute! And extremely easy! I advise getting a "backup" package of cookies- considering I encountered a chunk of cleaved & that tin make or break the total count. Merely, these are easily made, great for kids to assemble! Easy does it on the deco frosting. Very simple & visually appealing- they go rapidly!
Super cute but I used blood-red icing and information technology would be better with a brighter color. 4 instead of 5 cause I used chocolate icing instead of dearest and anybody loved them.
